The Best Natural Remedies for Acid Reflux

1 .Bao He Pian (Wan) (EzDigest™) An All Natural Chinese Herbal Supplement.

2. Drink mineral water with Lime.

3. Fennel tea or vegetable. The tea should best be sipped, not gulped, and should be of a moderate temperature, not too hot or cold. Fennel is used as a digestive traditionally by Indians. After each meal, there is a tradition of chewing some seeds of fennel. Fennel soothes the stomach, facilitates digestion, reduces flatulence and relieves the stomach of excess acidity.

4. Cardamom (Elattaria cardamomum) Cardamom has soothing effects on the stomach. It is especially beneficial if the gastritis causes heartburn.

5. Eat an apple. Eating an apple after a meal has also been found to alleviate acid reflux. Choose organic apples and chew well.

6.Ginger (Zingiber officinale) The extract of ginger is effective in treating the acid dyspepsia that is associated with gastritis. It is especially useful for people who consume more of a non-vegetarian food.

7. Papaya enzyme. Available in the form of papaya enzyme pills, this enzyme has helped end acid reflux symptoms for some people.

8. Take one teaspoonful of licorice root powder and mix it with pure ghee and honey. Take this twice each day on an empty stomach. Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) The root of the licorice can soothe the inflammation and the injury to the stomach. It is also known to reduce the proliferation of Helicobacter pylori.

9. Bitter Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) The tea of the bitter chamomile is effective in allaying the gastritis that is caused due to tensions and worries.

10. Drink water. The water will dilute the stomach acid and wash down anything that might be planning on defying gravity, so a big glass or two of water after your meal might do the trick.

Self Lymph Drainage Massage by MassageByHeather.com in Louisville, KY

Facial Lymph Drainage for Health and Beauty

Our lymph system is like the garbage disposal for the body, trapping and flushing toxins. Unlike our cardiovascular system, however, the lymph system does not have a pump to move the fluid. Instead, the movement of the body is responsible for preventing the stagnation of toxins in the lymph.

If our lymph fluid isn’t flowing as it should, a myriad of problems can arise. The body faces an increased toxic burden that affects all of our systems. The immune system takes a big hit if the lymph tissues are trapping but not flushing toxins.

To support the entire lymph system, a facial lymphatic drainage massage can be done numerous times a day. It only takes a few minutes.

Benefits of Facial Lymph Drainage

-Supports the flushing of toxins from the body
-Helps drain the sinuses, relieving sinus pressure from allergies and colds
-Reduces fluid retention in the face, which can define the jawline and slim the entire face
-Can help shorten the duration of a cold.

I found this helpful video on YouTube and I do a this facial lymph massage every morning (and before bed, if I remember). It reduces my “puffy morning face” and makes me feel refreshed and energized. I personally use Cloudless Morning with 12 Essential Oils recommended for lymphatic drain, cellulite and skin detoxification. See contraindications before using Essential Oils.

How to Get Rid of Toenail Fungus

Toenail fungus, also known as onychomycosis is very common problem faced equally by both men and women. Toenail fungus symptoms include inflammation, swelling, extreme pain, yellowing, thickening or crumbling of the nail. Some of the main causes of toenail fungus are wearing synthetic socks, abnormal PH levels of the skin, low immunity system, continuous exposure to moist environment, sweaty shoes, poor hygiene and diabetes.

If toenail fungus is not taken care of within time it can cause cracking, splitting, and even complete loss of the toenail. Well, the good news is that toenail fungus is curable and that too without spending money on medical bills. There are various natural remedies that can cure the infection in a month or two.

Here are top 10 ways to get rid of Toenail Fungus.
    Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil has got antiseptic as well as fungicide properties that help a lot in the treatment of toenail fungus. This oil is also used to treat other kinds of skin infections. If suffering from toenail fungus, take pure tea tree oil and with the help of a cotton ball rub the oil on the affected toe and nail for ten minutes and then use a toothbrush to gently scrub the affected nail. Before applying the oil on the skin, you must dilute it by mixing it with equal amount of olive oil or thyme oil. This remedy will give positive results if the infection is not too old.

    Baking Soda
Baking soda that is easily available at home can also be used to cure toenail fungus. For this treatment you will need half cup of baking soda, four cups of hot water, one fourth cup of peroxide and half cup of Epsom salts. Mix all the ingredients properly and then add one fourth cup of white vinegar to it. Now soak the affected toe in vinegar for a few minutes and then with the help of a cotton ball apply this mixture on the nail and cover it up properly with a tape in place. Repeat the process in every ten hours for about four weeks. If this remedy is followed regularly, the fungus on your toe nail will disappear quickly.

    Orange Oil
Another way to deal with toenail fungus is to use pure orange oil. All types of orange oil have antifungal properties and thus it can be used on infected toenails. With the help of a dropper apply orange oil daily between toes, on and under toe nails and allow it to sit for at least one hour. You can also dilute the orange oil with equal amount of any kind of carrier oil, such as grape seed oil. As orange oil can cause allergic reactions and can have side effects, it is advisable to test some diluted orange oil on a small spot of skin before applying it to the infected skin area.

    White Vinegar
White vinegar is one of the best ingredients that can be used in the treatment of toenail fungus. For treating toenail fungus mix one part of white vinegar with two parts of warm water. Now soak the affected toe in this solution for about ten to fifteen minutes daily until the fungus is gone. In case of skin irritation add more water to the solution and repeat the process every alternate day. It is very essential to dry the affected area well after rinsing, otherwise the fungus may spread.

    Garlic
Garlic contains allicin, which has antifungal properties and thus it can be used to deal with toenail fungus. For fast treatment use garlic oil mixed with equal amount of white vinegar. Apply this mixture on and around the infected toenail and cover the treated toe with an elastic bandage. This mixture can slow down the activity of the fungus within a few hours. In case garlic oil is not available, you can make your own by crushing two garlic cloves and adding two tablespoon of olive oil. Leave this mixture to sit for 24 hours. Even eating one clove of garlic daily can help a lot.

    Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is mild acidic in nature and thus it can prevent toenail fungus from spreading. At the same time apple cider vinegar also fights germs and kills bacteria. For this remedy mix equal parts apple cider vinegar and water to make a solution. Now soak your toe daily for half an hour in this solution. When done, dry your toenail thoroughly. If this remedy is followed daily for a few weeks, you can notice improvement very quickly. Another option is make an anti-fungal exfoliating scrub by mixing coarsely ground rice flour with a few spoons of apple cider vinegar. Apply this paste over the affected nail and gently scrub the area. This remedy will help to get rid of dead skin cells and will keep your skin soft.

    Listerine Mouth Wash
Listerine mouth wash that kills bacteria and germs in the mouth can also be used to treat toenail fungus. This is because this mouth wash has got several compounds and alcohol which act as a strong antiseptic to keep away harmful bacteria and fungus. Just fill a small tub with Listerine mouth wash, some vinegar and undiluted lemon juice. Now soak your feet in this solution for ten to fifteen minutes daily and then scrub the infected toe gently. Repeat this remedy daily until the old nail grows out and new nail replaces it.

    Lavender Oil
Lavender oil has got several volatile compounds and antiseptic properties that can fight any kind of infection and prevent skin irritation. Take equal amount of lavender oil and tea tree oil and mix it properly and warm it slightly. Now with the help of a cotton ball dab this solution under the top edge of the toe nail and surrounding area two to three times a day. It is recommended to apply this solution on the affected toenails before going to sleep. Put on a pair of thick woolen socks after applying it in order to increase the effectiveness of this remedy.

    Oregano Oil
Oregano oil has got antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-parasitical, antiviral, analgesic and antifungal properties. This is why oregano oil can also be used to get rid of toenail fungus. Take two drops of oregano oil and mix it with one teaspoon of pure olive oil. Now apply this mixture on the affected area with the help of a dropper or cotton ball at least once in a day. Follow this remedy daily for three weeks in order to get positive results.

    Lemon Juice
Lemon juice has got both antiseptic as well as antifungal properties. The citric acid present in lemon juice will help in stoping the toenail fungus from spreading. Take fresh lemon juice and apply it directly to the infected toenail and leave it for ten minutes before rinsing the area with warm water. This treatment should be repeated daily for one month or more until you notice positive results. Another option is to mix equal amounts of lemon juice and olive oil and use this mixture to massage the infected area. The olive oil will help to soften your skin while the lemon juice will help to control the fungal infection.

To conclude, the above mentioned traditional remedies used to get rid of toenail infection and their results depend a lot on the proper use and application of natural ingredients. At least these remedies must be tried for at least a month or two to notice positive results.

Zinc: Essential for Human Health

The mineral zinc is an important component especially for acne sufferers. In fact, acne itself may be a symptom of zinc deficiency. Zinc acts by controlling the production of oil in the skin, and may also help control some of the hormones that create acne. Zinc is also required for proper immune system function, as well as for the maintenance of vision, taste, and smell. Zinc consumption is also strongly linked to a reduction of prostate cancer.

The following information is form the International Zinc Association IZA

Zinc is an essential trace element for humans, animals and plants. It is vital for many biological functions and plays a crucial role in more than 300 enzymes in the human body. The adult body contains about 2-3 grams of zinc. Zinc is found in all parts of the body: it is in organs, tissues, bones, fluids and cells. Muscles and bones contain most of the body’s zinc (90%). Particularly high concentrations of zinc are in the prostate gland and semen.

Zinc - vital for growth and cell division
Zinc is especially important during pregnancy, for the growing fetus whose cells are rapidly dividing. Zinc also helps to avoid congenital abnormalities and pre-term delivery. Zinc is vital in activating growth - height, weight and bone development - in infants, children and teenagers.

Zinc – vital for fertility
Zinc plays a vital role in fertility. In males, zinc protects the prostate gland from infection (prostates) and ultimately from enlargement (prostatic hypertrophy). Zinc helps maintain sperm count and mobility and normal levels of serum testosterone.

In females, zinc can help treat menstrual problems and alleviate symptoms associated with premenstrual syndrome (PMS).

Zinc – vital for the immune system
Among all the vitamins and minerals, zinc shows the strongest effect on our all-important immune system. Zinc plays a unique role in the T-cells. Low zinc levels lead to reduced and weakened T-cells which are not able to recognize and fight off certain infections. An increase of the zinc level has proven effective in fighting pneumonia and diarrhea and other infections. Zinc can also reduce the duration and severity of a common cold.

Zinc – vital for taste, smell and appetite
Zinc activates areas of the brain that receive and process information from taste and smell sensors. Levels of zinc in plasma and zinc’s effect on other nutrients, like copper and manganese, influence appetite and taste preference. Zinc is also used in the treatment of anorexia.

Zinc – vital for skin, hair and nails
Zinc accelerates the renewal of the skin cells. Zinc creams are used for babies to soothe diaper rash and to heal cuts and wounds. Zinc has also proven effective in treating acne, a problem that affects especially adolescents, and zinc has been reported to have a positive effect on psoriasis and neurodermitis.

Zinc is also used as an anti-inflammatory agent and can help sooth the skin tissue, particularly in cases of poison ivy, sunburn, blisters and certain gum diseases.

Zinc is important for healthy hair. Insufficient zinc levels may result in loss of hair, hair that looks thin and dull and that goes grey early. There are also a number of shampoos which contain zinc to help prevent dandruff.

Zinc – vital for vision
High concentrations of zinc are found in the retina. With age the retinal zinc declines which seems to play a role in the development of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), which leads to partial or complete loss of vision. Zinc may also protect from night blindness and prevent the development of cataracts.

Who needs zinc?
Everyone needs zinc. Children need zinc to grow, adults need zinc for health. Growing infants, children and adolescents, pregnant women and lactating mothers, athletes, vegetarians and the elderly often require more zinc.

Where do we get zinc from?
We get zinc primarily from our food. The major sources of zinc are (red) meat meat, poultry, fish and seafood, whole cereals and dairy products. Zinc is most available to the body from meat. The bioavailability of plant-based foods is generally lower due to dietary fibre and phytic acid which inhibit the absorption of zinc.

A balanced diet is the best way to provide your body with zinc. A zinc supplement or a daily multi-vitamin/multi-mineral supplement may be taken if your nutritional intake is insufficient.*

*Large doses of zinc should not be taken over a prolonged period of time without your physician’s direction.

How much zinc do we need?
Our body regularly needs zinc. Recommended daily intakes are:
Infants
5 mg
Children
10 mg
Women
12 mg
Pregnant Women
15 mg
Lactating Women
16 mg
Men
15 mg
Pregnant women and lactating mothers require more zinc to ensure optimal development of the fetus and newborn baby.

What if we don’t get enough zinc?
Zinc deficiency is a serious problem in many developing countries. Zinc deficiency is ranked as the 5th leading risk factor in causing disease, especially diarrhea and pneumonia in children, which can lead to high mortality rates in these underdeveloped regions. Other severe deficiency symptoms include stunted growth and impaired development of infants, children and adolescents. Early zinc deficiency also leads to impaired cognitive function, behavioral problems, memory impairment and problems with spatial learning and neuronal atrophy. Public health programs involving zinc supplementation and food fortification could help overcome these problems.
In industrialized countries cases of mild zinc deficiency can be observed. The most common symptoms include dry and rough skin, dull looking hair, brittle finger nails, white spots on nails, reduced taste and smell, loss of appetite, mood swings, reduced adaptation to darkness, frequent infections, delayed wound healing, dermatitis and acne.

Mild zinc deficiency symptoms can usually be corrected by supplying the body with the right amount of zinc each day. Supplemental zinc not exceeding the recommended daily allowance might be taken. Therapies involving larger doses of zinc should always be discussed with your physician. Therapeutical doses typically range from 20 mg – 30 mg, in some rare cases doses might be higher.

Are there any adverse reactions?
The tolerable upper limit for zinc was set at 40 mg per day for adults over 19. Doses up to 30 mg per day are generally well tolerated. Higher doses may cause gastrointestinal reactions including nausea, vomiting, cramps and discomfort. Other adverse reactions include a metallic taste in the mouth, headache and drowsiness. High doses of zinc might also impair the status of other nutrients especially copper, calcium and iron.

What Does It Do?
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), He Shou Wu, in its processed form, nourishes the liver and kidney1 which is the source for blood and essence respectively. The liver blood nourishes the head and thus hairs. The kidney essence nourishes the bone marrow and bones, replenishes semen and controls the aging process. Therefore, He Shou Wu may make hairs grow and prevent hair-greying, strengthen bones and muscles, and relieve senility and prolong lifespan.

Several published human clinical trials2 have so far supported the traditional use of He Shou Wu. While the results vary among studies and individuals, over 60% of people who had hair loss (alopecia) experienced hair regrowth within 3 months after taking He shou Wu. In animal studies with aging mouse model, He Shou Wu was shown to lower total cholesterol and triglyceride, to reduce brain pathological changes and promote learning and memory3, 4. It is also shown to contain multiple anti-oxidants.

In addition to He Shou Wu, HairVive contains a blend of another 4 herbs. This formulation is to further enhance the action of He Shou Wu because He Shou Wu as a single herb often does not produce the optimal results.

HairVive is indicated in China Pharmacopoeia1 for insufficiency of liver and kidney; dizziness; tinnitus; soreness of the loins and weakness of the limbs; numbness of the extremities; baldness; premature hair-graying; high-cholesterol with above symptoms.

What Is The Formula Composition?

Polygoni Multiflori
Prepared Rehmannia Root
Glossy Privet Fruit

Goji Berry

(He Shou Wu)
(Shu Di Huang)
(Nu Zhen Zi)
(Sang Shen)
(Go Ji Zi)
80 veggie capsules. Each capsule contains 400 mg 5:1 herbal extract, equivalent to 2 g raw herbs

*HairViveTM is made of pure authentic Chinese herbs of finest qualities. Herbs are processed and extracted by a combination of traditional procedures and modern pharmaceutical processes to separate the active ingredients from the raw herbs. The active ingredients are further dried and concentrated into fine particles and encapsulated. HairVive is concentrated five times from the raw herbs, which is about twice as concentrated as the regularly concentrated patent Chinese medicines.

HairVive contains no pharmaceuticals, no artificial colors, and no sugar. Heavy metal contents are well in compliance with the standards set by US Pharmacopeia. It is manufactured in USA in facility registered with FDA and in compliance with the strict GMP standards.

How Do I Use It?
2 capsules 2 to 3 times daily. The dose may be doubled for maximal results.

As the herbal formula is a mild tonic and acts slowly, results may not be noticeable within 3 months, it is suggested to take it for 3 months in full dose as the first regimen. The dose may then be reduced.

Side Effects
HairVive has been safely used by millions of people with few adverse effects or contraindications.

OMEGA-3 LINKED TO CHILDREN’S SLEEP QUALITY

Posted on October 8, 2013 by Daniel G. Amen, MD

If you read our newsletter on a regular basis, you know how much I believe in omega-3 fatty acid supplementation for supporting learning, memory, and mood.

A while back, we presented the findings of the DOLAB study, showing that 600 mg of omega-3 supplementation daily (from algal oil) significantly improved reading scores and ADHD-type behavioral symptoms in a group of children, age 7-9 years, who were below average in their reading abilities.

New preliminary data from that same study, summarized in this article, has further linked omega-3, and particularly DHA, to sleep quality and behavior in children.

Professor Paul Montgomery from the University of Oxford recently explained how data from one part of the DOLAB Study establishes a connection between DHA levels in the blood and decreased sleep quality along with increased risk of sleep disorders.

“This was highly significant”, said Montgomery. He went on to state just how ‘striking’ it was that so many children in the study had both signs and symptoms of sleep disorders along with lower levels of DHA in their blood.

This is absolutely wonderful news, as it further compounds our belief in omega-3 supplementation for children, particularly those who are struggling with ADD/ADHD. Many children and adults with ADD/ADHD experience difficulties falling asleep and staying asleep.

Sleep deprivation is directly connected to an increase in the frequency and severity of behavioral and mood issues in those with ADD/ADHD.

Although omega-3 supplementation has been clinically shown to benefit children in the areas of academic performance, work completion, agreeability, inattention, impulsivity, and aggressiveness, it’s important to be patient and give omega-3 fatty acid supplements some time to work.

In a study(13) from Sri Lanka, one-hundred 6-12 year old children who were resistant to treatment with Ritalin and behavior therapy for more than 6 months were given a combination of omega 3 & 6 fatty acids or placebo. Their outcome was measured at 3 and 6 months after treatment using a self-assessment checklist completed by the parents. After 3 months of treatment, there were some significant improvements as compared to placebo, yet after 6 months of treatment, statistically significant improvements were observed.

To learn more about natural ADD/ADHD therapies and how much omega-3 I suggest per age and brain type, pre-order my new book, Healing ADD: The Breakthrough Program that Allows You to See and Heal the 7 Types of ADD.

Magnesium: Meet the Most Powerful Relaxation Mineral Available

by Mark Hyman, MD

A DEFICIENCY IN THIS CRITICAL nutrient makes you twice as likely to die as other people, according to a study published in The Journal of Intensive Care Medicine.(i) It also accounts for a long list of symptoms and diseases — which are easily helped and often cured by adding this nutrient. In fact, in my practice, this nutrient is one of my secret weapons against illness. Yet up to half of Americans are deficient in this nutrient and don’t know it.

I’m talking about magnesium.

It is an antidote to stress, the most powerful relaxation mineral available, and it can help improve your sleep.

I find it very funny that more doctors aren’t clued in to the benefits of magnesium, because we use it all the time in conventional medicine. But we never stop to think about why or how important it is to our general health or why it helps our bodies function better.

I remember using magnesium when I worked in the emergency room. It was a critical “medication” on the crash cart. If someone was dying of a life-threatening arrhythmia (or irregular heart beat), we used intravenous magnesium. If someone was constipated or needed to prepare for colonoscopy, we gave them milk of magnesia or a green bottle of liquid magnesium citrate, which emptied their bowels. If pregnant women came in with pre-term labor, or high blood pressure of pregnancy (pre-eclampsia) or seizures, we gave them continuous high doses of intravenous magnesium.

But you don’t have to be in the hospital to benefit from getting more magnesium. You can start taking regular magnesium supplementation today and see results.

The Relaxation Mineral

Think of magnesium as the relaxation mineral. Anything that is tight, irritable, crampy, and stiff — whether it is a body part or an even a mood — is a sign of magnesium deficiency.

This critical mineral is actually responsible for over 300 enzyme reactions and is found in all of your tissues — but mainly in your bones, muscles, and brain. You must have it for your cells to make energy, for many different chemical pumps to work, to stabilize membranes, and to help muscles relax.

When was the last time you had a good dose of seaweed, nuts, greens, and beans? If you are like most Americans, your nut consumption mostly comes from peanut butter

That is why the list of conditions that are found related to magnesium deficiency is so long. In fact, there are over 3,500 medical references on magnesium deficiency!

Even so, this mineral is mostly ignored because it is not a drug, even though it is MORE powerful than drugs in many cases. That’s why we use it in the hospital for life-threatening and emergency situations like seizures and heart failure.

You might be magnesium deficient if you have any of the following symptoms:
Muscle cramps or twitches
Insomnia
Irritability
Sensitivity to loud noises
Anxiety
Autism
ADD
Palpitations
Angina
Constipation
Anal spasms
Headaches
Migraines
Fibromyalgia
Chronic fatigue
Asthma
Kidney stones
Diabetes
Obesity
Osteoporosis
High blood pressure
PMS
Menstrual cramps
Irritable bladder
Irritable bowel syndrome
Reflux
Trouble swallowing

Magnesium deficiency has even has been linked to inflammation in the body and higher CRP levels.

In our society, magnesium deficiency is a huge problem. By conservative standards of measurement (blood, or serum, magnesium levels), 65 percent of people admitted to the intensive care unit — and about 15 percent of the general population — have magnesium deficiency.

But this seriously underestimates the problem, because a serum magnesium level is the LEAST sensitive way to detect a drop in your total body magnesium level. So rates of magnesium deficiency could be even higher!

The reason we are so deficient is simple: Many of us eat a diet that contains practically no magnesium — a highly-processed, refined diet that is based mostly on white flour, meat, and dairy (all of which have no magnesium).

When was the last time you had a good dose of sea vegetables (seaweed), nuts, greens, and beans? If you are like most Americans, your nut consumption mostly comes from peanut butter, and mostly in chocolate peanut butter cups.

Much of modern life conspires to help us lose what little magnesium we do get in our diet. Magnesium levels are decreased by excess alcohol, salt, coffee, phosphoric acid in colas, profuse sweating, prolonged or intense stress, chronic diarrhea, excessive menstruation, diuretics (water pills), antibiotics and other drugs, and some intestinal parasites. In fact, in one study in Kosovo, people under chronic war stress lost large amounts of magnesium in their urine.

This is all further complicated by the fact that magnesium is often poorly absorbed and easily lost from our bodies. To properly absorb magnesium we need a lot of it in our diet, plus enough vitamin B6, vitamin D, and selenium to get the job done.

A recent scientific review of magnesium concluded, “It is highly regrettable that the deficiency of such an inexpensive, low-toxicity nutrient results in diseases that cause incalculable suffering and expense throughout the world.” (ii) I couldn’t’ have said it better myself.

It is difficult to measure and hard to study, but magnesium deficiency accounts for untold suffering — and is simple to correct. So if you suffer from any of the symptoms I mentioned or have any of the diseases I noted, don’t worry — it is an easy fix!! Here’s how.

Stop Draining Your Body of Magnesium
Limit coffee, colas, salt, sugar, and alcohol
Learn how to practice active relaxation
Check with your doctor if your medication is causing magnesium loss (many high blood pressure drugs or diuretics cause loss of magnesium)

Eat Foods High in Magnesium

Include the following in your diet as often as you can:

Kelp, wheat bran, wheat germ, almonds, cashews, buckwheat, brazil nuts, dulse, filberts, millet, pecans, walnuts, rye, tofu, soy beans, brown rice, figs, dates, collard greens, shrimp, avocado, parsley, beans, barley, dandelion greens, and garlic

Take Magnesium Supplements
The RDA (the minimum amount needed) for magnesium is about 300 mg a day. Most of us get far less than 200 mg.
Some may need much more depending on their condition.
Most people benefit from 400 to 1,000 mg a day.
The most absorbable forms are magnesium citrate, glycinate taurate, or aspartate, although magnesium bound to Kreb cycle chelates (malate, succinate, fumarate) are also good.
Avoid magnesium carbonate, sulfate, gluconate, and oxide. They are poorly absorbed (and the cheapest and most common forms found in supplements).
Side effects from too much magnesium include diarrhea, which can be avoided if you switch to magnesium glycinate.
Most minerals are best taken as a team with other minerals in a multi-mineral formula.
Taking a hot bath with Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) is a good way to absorb and get much needed magnesium.

People with kidney disease or severe heart disease should take magnesium only under a doctor’s supervision.

Smart addiction by Dr Ed

By: Dr Ed's

I was a strange little kid. I wished for a dessert that was actually good for you. Many years later my wish came true in the form of live food desserts. I got this email for raw ice cream and had to share it!

I have a few spots left for my Wednesday night, yummy, live food dessert class. I'll be serving up raw ice cream, raw fruit smoothies, chia seed pudding and handing out recipes. See the details below.

3-lb universe
our adult brain is a 3-lb universe...

65% of it is saturated fat...making up 100 billion nerve cells
which then connect trillions of synapse
so as to response the inner & outer world around us
constantly nourishing detoxing & lubricating

think
babies are born precious with undeveloped bundles of brain & optic nerve ...
each of every cell absolutely requires a good fat diet for healthy growth
to fully nourish body & mind...healthy, happy, center & calm

think
good fat is essential for newborn & growing children
namely, unrefined nourishing saturated fat including mother breast milk & unrefined animal fat...

indeed the brain & optic nerve development totally count on it...no exception
it's the law of nature
